Help for whatsapp

guys can someone explain to me why instead of seeing the letters D or S when sending a msg on whatsapp i get the 2 "correct" symbols (2 sticks)

They changed it a few updates ago. One check mark means the message has been sent; two check marks mean the message was seen by the recipient.

As far as I know, you can't go back.
