Im EVERYWHERE!
Ok i have boot camp, when i got my mac 2 days ago i put all my files on my ipod as data and copied them to my mac. i didn't format the .wmv movies however and i need to put them on the windows xp side of my mac to convert them using one of the many free pc converter softwares thats on the net. Problem is when i go to xp and click my ipod it says this drive is nor formatted, would you like to do this, im guess because its formatted to a mac. what can i do?! i need these movies!

Easy solution...

Just use isquint, available at isquint.org.

Much simpler solution.

Type this into Terminal in the Mac OSX side. This will reveal all hidden files:

defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles TRUE
killall Finder

Go to your iPod on the Mac OSX side. Navigate through your iPod until you find your video files. Copy them to your harddrive. Now you can put it in the Windows side of your computer.

Finally, type this into Terminal to hide all the files again:

defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles FALSE
killall Finder

ok where is the terminal that i type this in?? (iv had a mac for only 2 days)
and how do i actually see them on windows? do i copy them to the windos harddrive?

hard drive-->Applications-->Utilities-->Terminal

I don't know on your second one, but I'll assume yes.

I don't have an Intel Mac, so no Boot Camp for me. But Windows probably shows up as a second harddrive on your desktop. I'd say copy the video files into that. Don't really know, either, though.
