Hi

We have ONE Mac and two IPhones ( Phone 1 and Phone 2) and a Family Pack.

I set up a Master Account (Account A) and another account for my spouse (Account B). We have three calendars that we need to share( Joint, JF and MLL).

Account A was setup using the basic setup instructions, but with Phone 1.

Account B was setup using the basic setup instructions, but with phone 2.

If I am logged into account A in the MolileMe system preferences in my Mac and then add a calender event to my Mac, it only appears in phone 1.

If I am logged into Account B in the Mobileme system preferences and add an event in our Mac, it appears to only sinch with phone 2

This is not what I want!

How can I set things up, so that:

1) Both phones get synched when I add an event in Ical on the Mac.

2) If I add an event on either Phone's Calendar, the other phone and the Mac Ical applicated are both synched

Thanks and please Help

Jay

You can't share calendars from 2 accounts (even on the family plan). You have to find another way to solve your problem. I sync my individual accounts with Google Shared Calendar. That way I can keep the rest of my account separate (email, contacts and personal calendar).

Question for D12Mike

Mike

All I want to do is synch the calendars and contacts that are on our single Mac with both Iphones. What I mean is that If I enter a calendar entry in our mac, I want it to appear on both iphone and on mobileMe.

Alternatively if I enter information on MobileMe, I would like our both iPhones and our Mac to reflect that.

What is the best way to do that using MobileMe?

Thanks,

Jay

What about Email? Do you want to only have 1 Email Account as well? If so, than you only need 1 MobileMe Account. If not, how do you have separate Email setup on the Mac. I am a Windows User and with 1 Computer we can set it up multiple ways. On a Mac do you have 1 mail client that has 2 email accounts with 1 set of contacts and calendar?

In my prior post I was trying to explain that MobileMe does not allow for sharing calendars and contacts (hopefully that will change) so you have to be a little inventive to get everything Synced.

We have one Mac with one e-mail client with two e-mail accounts. We have two iPhones.

Mike, each iPhone has its own unique e-mail account that is not mobile me. This is outside of MobileMe and we receive the e-mails without a problem on our phones and our Mac. We only want to use Mobile me to sych calendars and contacts at this time.

We have a family pack.

How is the best way to set this up?

Thanks

Then as was pointed out below you should only use 1 of the MobileMe Accounts (A). You did not need to purchase the MobileMe Family Plan since you do not need separate accounts. On your phones just setup the email for mobileme as manual since you will not be using the email part of mobileme.

Again, just use the master mobileme account for everything.

1) Can I delete the second second MobileMe e-mail account from the second iPhone?

2) Can I delete the second MobileMe account from within mobileMe?

1) Can I delete the second second MobileMe e-mail account from the second iPhone?

2) Can I delete the second MobileMe account from within mobileMe?

1. Yes. Then add the Master Account. Both phones and the mac will Sync with the same MobileMe Master Account.

2. Yes. In Account Options under Family Pack select Remove. After you do step 1 above.
