Hi,

The Hard drive on my MBP 2013 model just died so I purchased a new 1TB Seagate SSHD.

The problem is, all the tutorials on how to install the new OSX says that I have to login the apple store to download the Mac OS. My office computer runs on Windows 10 and I have no other Mac computer where I can download the OS sierra.

Can you guys help me out and tell me how I can install the MacOS Sierra on my new blank Hard drive? I had a snow leopard DVD before but I can't seem to find it. I also don't really want to install snow leopard then keep upgrading upto Sierra. I would rather have a clean direct install of Sierra.

Thanks.

Note: I have a new 16GB and 32GB USB drive for this.

I'm not aware of any legal way to download from a Windows machine.

However, you can do the download directly on the Mac; hold Cmd-Opt-R at the boot chime to start Internet Recovery. This will install the version that it originally came with, but once it's up and running you can upgrade to Sierra. I know that that doesn't give you a clean install, but it's better than nothing.

The Snow Leopard DVD isn't going to help; it can only be used on older models.

I see. Actually, another reason why I would like to download here in the office is because the internet connection here is much faster than what I have at home. (Note: I am from the Philippines and our internet connection at home is very slow - 2Mbps max speed but on average, its much slower) Here in our office it reaches 10Mbps (I get around 600 kb/s download speed)

Note: I am not allowed to connect my MBP here in the office. I can only use the office computer.
