I recently upgraded to the newest software on both my husband's iPhone as well as mine. Now all of a a sudden he is sharing contacts with me (i.e. our contacts merged), as well as reminders, and God knows what else! How do I make this stop????? Btw, everything was fine before I upgraded software this weekend. We shared one iTunes account and had both iPhones, an iPad and an iPod Touch on it. Never had a problem till now!

My guess would be that both iPhones are signed into the same iCloud or mm account under settings. IE it thinks they are the same phone.

OK, that makes sense. How do I change that? My husband is 200 miles away now, so I have no access to his phone; it is nowhere near me, yet it is still connecting!

Go to settings. iCloud. And see the login info for you. Tell hubby to do same. Delete the one that is incorrect, and login with the correct info on that device.

But, make sure that you have backups of each others info. Did you use mobile me before, or are you new to iCloud and Mac?

You can share the same itunes account So use that for the App store. For iCloud create new @me.com accounts for each of you or use your personal email account. so under Settings-->iCloud each of you need your own account.

I'm pretty sure you will have to export your contact from the iCloud account that both of you are sharing and import them into your own accounts then delete the ones you don't want.

Here is some help info on contacts and iCloud http://help.apple.com/icloud/index.html?lang=en#mmfba74949
