Help, I can't find my password

I was filling out forms and signed up for a tax service site. Using Safari btw. When filling out what password I wanted, the pop up suggested one for me and I selected that so I could have something more secure.

When I try to sign in, it won't pop up the password. I searched "passwords" in Safari's menu and it doesn't show anything for today. I searched Keychain and nothing for today either nor the site or anything.

There is no way on this site that allows me to reset the password...where the heck is it!?
I'll never use that stupid suggestion again.

I don't recall ever seeing a site that doesn't provide the opportunity to reset a password. Perhaps the option isn't easy to find, but is there. Can you share which site it is?

I agree with the suggestion to reset password. In addition you can look for the one that was chosen for you. Go to Safari > Preferences > Passwords then click the website and check the box in the lower left corner for Show password for selected sites. You then put in your login password and it will show you the password for the website.

It's not there. I contacted them via email but I'd like to get on there today. Why wouldn't it store that password or is there any other way to get it?

What's the point of their password suggestion if it's not going to store it and I would assume it's suppose to go to the cloud server too? I'm just glad I never tried using it with all my other sites or i'd be in a mess trying to reset them all.

Like I already said, it's not there. It doesn't show any passwords for that day or at least I can't find it. There is only like 20 passwords stored in that thing and they are all the ones that I created myself for when it asked if I wanted to save them or not.

I think I'm just going to start over signing up and use another email cause I've got to get this done. I'm just mad because I'm realizing I can't rely on Apple's password suggestions when I want a good secure pass which imo seems to miss the point of them creating that feature.

I have Keepass to store all my confidential info, I think it has a pass generator but just not as convenient but at least that app never failed me.

If you don't mind mentioning which site you're referring to, perhaps someone will have a password reset solution for that site.

Honestly with all this iCloud junk going on I would recommend getting a dedicated backup server. I recommend:

Xserve of any kind (but still supported!)
Mac Pro 2008 or newer
PowerMac G5 dual CPU or quad model (if you still use ppc)
top of the line macbook pro with 2 1TB HDD's in RAID (i would recommend this for iDevices) I recommend one with an ssd pre-installed
Any supported Mac Mini server

If you don't mind using an outdated platform (would not recommend to later intel users!)
