Help!!....My iPhone Photos are not syncing with the photos on my Mac.

I mistakenly created a new photo library copy, and renamed something. Honestly, not complete sure what the heck I did! But now, something is not matching up right. ?

How can I fix my mistake, so that my photo library has a name that can be read on all my devices and that my photos can sync through the cloud on all devices.

Thanks.

Tanagra (not really)
Just guessing here, but it sounds like you've messed up your Mac copy of your iCloud Photo Library. If you go to icloud.com, you can at least see what the server-side says your photo library looks like. If everything looks good there, AND you can see the most recent iPhone photos that aren't syncing to your Mac, they you might just be able to turn off iCloud Photo Library on your Mac, move the existing library somewhere else, and then turn iCloud Photo Library back on. Your Mac should then download your entire library from iCloud and you'll be back in business,

All this assumes that you are using iCloud Photo Library and that the server still has your desired library of photos. If the above conditions aren't true, then I'm not sure what you should do next.

Thanks. I fixed by renaming and eliminating libraries that were created in error. Now I only have ONE library everywhere, so now my mac/cloud/IOS, etc are all referring to this ONE library as my "System Library." Thanks for your reply.

Im guessing you didn’t go into the library and move things round?

If you didn’t, move the library back to the photos folder and then point the Photos app at the newly named library.

Hi HG. See my reply to Darmok. I figured there really is no reason to have more than one library, so by eliminating libraries created in error, my one library that was left became the "system library."
