Last Friday my wife installed 2 software programs on our family iMac G-5 (eyesight). One was Anime Studio and the other was I Spy Mystery.

My 10 year old used both programs on Friday afternoon, but reported on Saturday morning that I-Spy Mystery was giving an error message and would not run (Anime Studio runs fine).

In trouble shooting the I Spy Mystery I noticed that 2 other I Spy programs installed on the the iMac had almost exactly the same problem, as did Zoo Vet and a similar error on Kid Pix Deluxe 4. No changes or updates had been made to the computer since the new software had been installed on Friday.

I verified and repaired permissions and verified the hard drive. I checked the manufacturer's support web sites (no help there). I removed and reinstalled all 5 programs. Still no luck!

These are the error messages being generated:

I Spy Spooky Mansion Deluxe, I Spy Fantasy and Zoo Vet: "Director Player Error Script Error. Continue?"

I Spy Mystery: "Director Player Error Handler not found in object #play Script Error. Continue?"

Kid Pix Deluxe 4: "Your Audio Device is busy. Please task out and turn off other programs that play sounds then press Retry. Or, press Cancel to quit." (needless to say no other programs are running on the computer).

This was all very sudden. Has anyone run across anything like this before?
