Help! iCloud doesn't work on my iPad

What am I missing? I've already verified my email address through the Apple website, but the iCloud settings says it is not. When I open the iCloud settings, it says "Verifying..." but after a few seconds it quits and goes back to the Home screen. I've tried so many times. I even tried deleting the account, but before it does anything, it quits. Help please!

have you gone to iCloud.com from your computer browser? Can you log into your account from there?

Yes, it says that I need to set it up on the iOS 5 device... So I'm stuck... I don't have any other device to set it up with.

Ugh! I thought about it... It's my iPad and the thought of putting everything back in again.... I was hoping that it wouldn't come to that. But oh we'll. Thanks guys! I'll come back and update whether it worked or not.
