Help -iCloud Verifying Account

I have an iPhone 4, and iPad 2, both with iOS5. I have an AppleID that I am trying to use with iCloud. I have received a verification email from Apple that says that I have verified the account however when I go to iCloud on either device it says "verifying" and then closes settings completely. Any help would be appreciated! I can login to my Apple account with no problem. Not sure what's up but I'm frusterated. Thanks!
