Help in upgrading from 1.1.4 to 2.x.x

Hey guys i need help with this. I have currently an iPhone with firmware 1.1.4 and i want to upgrade it, it has been unlocked and jailbroken with Ziphone

I have both the 2.1 IPSW and the 2.0.1 IPSW...which one do i use?? which is better??

and can you please tell me how??

on the internet there are hundreds of guides with quickpwn and winpwn using their different versions and such....its really frustrating

i currently use iTunes 8.0.
and lastly is it actually worth it?? is there is a difference in speed or anything??

Yes, I did that, went from 1.1.4 to 2.0.1 now on 2.1
