I have a 4 month old iMAC that has been great!!! I have had the Sony HandyCam listed above that has been great for years, as well. I recently shot some video and wanted to xfer it to my iMAC. I bought a Belkin 6 to 9 pin FW800 cable to connect them together. My iMAC wont recognize the device. I have downloaded the Sony manuals which, while informative, did not help me get this connection to work. I have searched the web for days and can not find anything that will help. I fire-up iDVD and iMOVIE, but nothing at all sees the HandyCam. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am at my end with this. I have searched driver downloads and all I can find are for PC's, nothing for iMAC/MAC. Searching this website shows me I am not alone and I have tried all the fixes I have seen here and still cannot get my iMAC to acknowledge the HandyCam. I'm sure I must have missed something, but I have been through each of the procedures several times and get the same result. I'm on the edge of being the poster child for stupid. is anybody out there??
