It's best you read all the release notes. That will answer your questions and answer any questions you didn't think of asking.
So, you paid $100 to Apple to get a developer account then? If so. login to the developer site and download the beta.
If this is too complicated iOS development may not be for you.
Question, I *just* purchased and got approved. Should I option + update it or option + restore it via iTunes?

good luck man. don't expect it to be stable. Expect crashes to the Apple logo and other wonky behavior.
So i've been trying to install and keep getting an error message. Got scared af when it wouldn't let me update and restore so i'm done, lol.
This is why you read the information they give you in the portal. It covers this very thing.
