Please help, I just successfully installed a new 5400rpm HD on my 1ghz iBook and I don't know what to do to the hard drive to allow 10.3 to be installed.... I figured it needs fromatting so I used disk utilty to "erase" it but at the point of choosing a disk for installation, the disk has a red exclamation point and it says 10.3 can't be installed there....

....help! What am I missing? Thanks so much for you help...

You need to format the drive by erasing it first (under the Erase tab). Choose Mac OS Extended (Journaled) or something to that effect from the Volume Format menu. :)
