help (installing games on laptop)

hello i was wondering how do i install mac games on my schools laptop? because after i downloaded the game i clicked it and it opened up but then it closes really fast. someone said i have to mount something or something along the lines of tht. thx.

when you download something it will usually automatically unzip the .dmg or disk image. then you can play straight from their, or drag the application in the .dmg to the applications folder and then launch. Chances are that you don't have admin privileges since it is at your school. so you won't be able to.

can you better explain what is going on, and what you are seeing on the screen?

What game... downloaded from where or on a CD... what screens are popping up... etc
