All of a sudden the apps open in the background started having a white preview, before they would either show the page I was on in the preview or the app logo if it couldn’t keep the apps open due to too many things open; but now it’s not even the logo but just a white screen ...what’s happening?
The only different thing I did is that I used it in -3 degrees Celsius which I never did before , could the cold weather have damaged something inside? Also it’s a bit more laggy and not as smooth..
Should I consider an apple appointment? I tried restarting already.. this is the 12 pro max on iOS 14.3
I have attached the video and then a screenshot

Try closing some apps and not operating in sub zero temps
I understand this, but it's unrealistic to not use it in temperatures below 0 degrees Celsius.. its winter and I cannot keep the iPhone warm all the time, my question therefore is ..could the cold cause permanent damage or is it all temporary? Secondly, has this occurred to anyone where the preview screen is just plain white? Or if somebody could test it out please

Come join me in Florida and we’ll be complaining about overheating iPhones in direct sunlight 😂

Your phone should be fine. I’ve used mine in Iceland and at the peak of Scottish winter.

Unless you were using it for hours in that temperature I think you’ve got nothing to worry about.

If you haven't already, try a force restart (not just turning it off and on again normally). I doubt the cold is the cause, sounds more like a software glitch.
