HELP! iPhone 15 Pro Max sync stuck on Waiting For Items To Copy

For some reason now when I try to sync it to my Mac, my iPhone 15 gets stuck on step five “waiting for photos to copy“.

I manually manage my media, and have photos, videos, etc., all neatly organized into folders, and I have done it this way for years. But now, for some reason, it gets stuck on that step whenever I try to sync. I’ve shut my Mac down and restarted, and powered my phone off and restarted it as well, and this isn’t this has not helped.

I also updated to the most recent version of iOS ( 17.6.1 ), thinking this was the culprit, but no dice. I am still having the same problem. For some reason this issue only seems to be affecting my iPhone and not my IPad.

If anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated. This latest hiccup has been nothing short of maddening!

I tried that, with no luck. But I will certainly try it again, because right now I’m out of ideas.

Left it for 10 hours and it was still stuck. So still no solution.
