hey peoples.

Im having some trouble with my 3G iphone software version 3.0, and when i plug it into the computer it doesnt charge and it doesnt even recognize that its plugged in, unlike a regular ipod does.

It charges on wall charger just fine.

Could anyone please lend a few helpful tips to get me on my way??

thanks heaps

I am running Vista Business and I have to plug mine in once or twice for it to recognize. I read something a while back here and on the Apple Support Forum that there was a USB "bug" that was hopefully going to be fixed with 3.1. I have to go through exact steps just to make sure I can sync with iTunes (iTunes set to my music, not the store or it will lock up, close iTunes, plug in 3GS, then launch iTunes, hold breath, cross fingers).

Make sure your USB connections are working - if you are using Vista, it should detect the iPhone as a new device and install drivers. Make sure your system is set to do this automatically.
