hi.

My iphone 4S will not play music on my music app out loud, but when I plug in headphones, it works perfectly fine. I can't control my ringer with the volume buttons or the volume on the music app unless the headphones are in. My ringer works when I receive phone calls, but my text sounds do not work.

I have tried blowing in the headphone jack & charging dock, cleaning it with paper, a card, a brush, a q-tip, and every other "hack" designed to fix these things, to no avail.

PLEASE HELP ME I AM A BROKE COLLEGE STUDENT WHO CANNOT AFFORD A NEW PHONE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Help iphone 4s will not play sound out loud

It's likely that the the phone thinks it's connected to a device from the charging port, like a music player, in which case it'll make no sound and volume controls won't work.
That means you need to change the charging port.
