I have a video ipod (5G) and about a week ago it would sleep and the only way i could cut it on would be to reset by holding the middle button and menu. The battery had recently died and now i cant get it to cut on at all. it wont charge because it doesnt cut on when i connect it to anything. i know theres not a problem with the connection because it would still let me transfer music to it before the battery died. if anyone can help it would be appreciated. thanks

do you have a wall charger. sometime is find that when my ipod dies completely you need wall power, and not just your computer power. Sounds weird. but its worth a shot.
Otherwise i would take it to your nearest apple store.
