Help! Jailbroken but

I'm in the process of jailbreaking my 3G Iphone, I've gone thru all the pwnage tools step and just finished restoring using the custom restore file thru itunes, and now i'm at the itunes screen asking if I want to setup as a new iphone or restore from my backup I'm confused, if I restore from my backup, will that erase my custom restore? So should I setup as a new iphone? After I've setup my iphone, can I sync as usual? Help, I'm so excited and I'm almost done with jailbreaking and can't wait to use a jailbroken Iphone for the first time

i had the same question then just went through with it and restored with my old stuff. worked fine.
