Help! Jumping cursor is driving me crazy!

I'm having issues with my cursor continuously jumping around.
Diagonally up/left and down/right.
This started yesterday. I have not made any changes to my system.

I am using a MacPro running 10.6.8 and a Logitech MX Revolution wireless mouse.
I tried unplugging the Logitech and tried a wired mouse.
No difference still jumping around.
I don't use any of the built-in wireless options. WiFi, Bluetooth are always off.
(Just Logitech USB RF transceiver)

I tried googling this issue but just kept getting info about trackpad issues.
If anyone has any info or fixes for this it would be greatly appreciated.

Does it still do it when the USB transceiver is actually unplugged from the MP?

My first thought was that there may be another wireless device using the same channel in your vicinity that was interfering, even when you use a wired mouse as the transceiver would still be sending signals to the mouse controller.

Do you use a graphics tablet at all? I know that they can send signals to the cursor.

If it still does it when the only thing plugged in is the wired mouse then I am stumped, sorry.

It happened to me once when the curser was jumpy. The problem was my keyboard had an electrical ground that was causing this. I replaced the keyboard and the problem went away. Though not sure if this also the same case with yours.

Still jump after a restart? My 2008 MacPro mouse will jump a bit something due to something awry in the OS. Restart will straighten things out. Started after one of the OS security fixes about 4 months ago.

A low battery in the magic pad also causes this for me.

I had similar issue. Actually my wife. Mouse pointer was coming back all the time to one place on the screen. New mouse did not help. It turned out, that she left a pen lying on the tablet.

I wanted to thank everyone for taking the time to reply.

I think I ended up solving this one. (Unintentionally)
I unplugged both my keyboard (older Apple USB) and my Logitech mouse and
tried another Apple keyboard (White, newer model) and a USB wired mouse.
The jumping cursor stopped. Even without a restart.
I immediately plugged back in my keyboard and my Logitech mouse and have been going OK since.

Will update if issue returns or if anything else happens.
