So someone dropped or sat on or otherwise bent the hell out of my display so it wouldn't close properly. I decided to take the display off to bend the case back so that it would work right again. Got that part done.

However, now the backlight won't work. I am pretty sure I plugged everything back in properly but I must not have. I can see the images on the screen, there is just no backlight.

I looked at the ifixit guide for the 15 but that doesn't have the same plugs from the screen to the board.

Can anyone help me??!? This is making me sick to my stomach at this point... I've only had this computer for like two months. :(

Edit: So I think the inverter is bad. When I plug in the inverter, a strange sound comes out of the speakers, like a hiss/interference sound. The inverter is plugged in correctly and as far as I can tell, the wires into it are fine. Does anyone know where I can buy another inverter module?

Could someone tell me what the inverter cable looks like on a C2D 17 and how it is plugged in? I might have plugged it in wrong.
