I've got good news and....
The good news is that it is temporally (all but) impossible for your MacBook Pro to be uncovered by Apple's warranty.
(
Brannigan: "Prepare to change course!"
Kif: "Sir, this is a leisure cruise. Our path was set by the travel agency."
Brannigan: "That's for schoolgirls! Now here is a route with some chest hair!"
Kif: "But that course leads directly through a swarm of comets."
Brannigan: "Yes, comets. The icebergs of the sky. By jackknifing from one to the next at breakneck speed, we might just get some kinda gravity boost. Or something."
Kif: Uhhh.)
The bad news is that I'm pretty confident that there isn't an Apple store in any area with a State Department travel warning (
) so I'm thinking you're going to have to survive a send-in/send-back. Apple does it quite well. (They should overnight you a pack that you'll use to overnight it to them.)
Good luck!
