i was upgrading my mac mini to tiger(all my other macs are already upgraded, so i thought i'd do it with this one too)it was already loading then the electricity went out and back again...so the mac switched off..i tried opening it,it wont.. then after an hour or so, it did..but then i just get the logo and the loading circle...i tried the apllecommand+s.. it wont work..what do i have to do?

It's possible the disk is a bit corrupted. Try booting from the DVD and see if you can repair it. I have had similar issue with a mini, but I needed the Drive Genius to repair the disk. There is probably nothing physically wrong.

In your original post, you wrote you were upgrading to Tiger.

What caused the power outage ? Do the power outages frequently occur ?

no i mean tiger...it's one of those very short power outage that only last for about a sec or so..when everything just sorta flickers and dies then turns back again.. just a one time thing.. but it happened while i was upgrading..and the disk was initially stuck but then after i tried opening it repeatedly it finally ejected the cd..but there's still the loading problem..

the dvd? what dvd? the installation disk for tiger? so i just put it in while it's loading. i'm afraid of it getting stuck again. and if i do that will i lose all my files?

Did the mini come with Leopard pre-installed? I could be wrong, but I don't think you can install Tiger on the newer machines because of driver issues.
