Dear all,
I experience a very odd problem ever since I updated to Mojave 12.2. I run a 2019 Mac Pro with the 580X graphics card connected via Thunderbolt to an LG 5k2k. This setup has been everything I ever wanted. The LG 5k2k offers me near retina resolution. I have been using it with the display settings "more space" in system preferences set to the maximum
After upgrading to 12.2 and rebooting everything looked ginormous. I though the Mac had defaulted to the LGs "native" resolution as macOS sees it. However, entering system preferences and selecting the scaled menu under display settings, I soon found that I can only shift this to one more step of "more space" instead of two. This means that text and everything else is still way to big for my taste.
This cannot be related to some hiccup with the cable, as connecting my M1 MBP to the display with the same cable still offers me the "old" configuration.
SwitchResX does not really help as it only allows me to find a resolution that is equal to the old one in size, but it only offers blurry text.
Any help would be much appreciated.
