Sunderland - Gods Country !
Hi, after many hours browsing this forum I have decided to sign up !

I have a problem with one of the macs here at work - It wont get past the blue screen and the constantly spinning gear like icon. I have tried a few things like booting into safe mode which it wont ! I have also gone into single user mode and ran fsck which returned with everything is ok and verbose mode halts after line -

/System/Library/CoreServices/loginwindow.app/Contents/MacOS/loginwindow: Login Window Application Started

I have also tried to boot from CD but this comes up with an error telling me I have to restart my mac...

Anyone any ideas ?

Thanks for your time in advance.

Which disc did you try to boot from? If the one you used was the Mac OS X installer, odds are your Mac has a serious hardware issue. I'd have someone at your workplace (or yourself) take it in for service. The cause could be any number of hardware-related issues, but the most common is bad RAM.

Thats what I was worried of....Thankyou again - Just got to find somewhere to take it now !

Cheers
