iPod Help...manually adding videos on automatically updating songs iPod Classic!!!

I recently got an iPod classic and need to know if there is a way to keep my iPod updating songs and all playlists while being able to add videos manually. The reason for this is that I want to keep my music library updated on both iPod and my Mac but want to have the videos only on my iPod. Help is greatly appreciated...thanks!
