Help! MBP keyboard+mouse not working after restart

The title really says it all. I tried using a USB mouse, no luck. They both work when I try to change my boot disk before booting, but when the login screen comes up, they no longer work

After you do that, you might want to try to boot from cd by holding down C+D at startup, then repair permissions, or reinstall OS X. It isn't a hardware problem, as you can select your boot disc.

Well doing the smc reset didn't work, so I'll do an archive and reinstall. I read other peoples problems on another forum and they say it's caused by a program
