My Moto v60 from Verizon crapped out a few days ago and since I was looking to upgrade to something a bit more advanced anyway, this gives me the perfect excuse.
I want a PDA/smartphone because I'm in a position now where I can actually make use of one whereas previously a simplistic phone like the v60 was all I needed. I'm also looking for one with Wi-Fi which is definitely a must. Some sort of keyboard is also a must given the amount of typing to did on my previous phone, a QWERTY keyboard would be a major help.
I'm currently torn between a Nokia E70 or a Verizon (HTC something rebranded) XV6700. I don't care if it runs Symbian, Windows Mobile or Linux, the hardware requirements are much more important.
I like the Nokia since its more like a phone when closed but the XV has a larger screen (dimensions, not rez) and its a touchscreen and I love touchscreens. The spoit keyboard of the E70 is a concern too since I use one of those types on a computer at work and I don't care for it.
I can get them both with the same price so that's not an issue. Those are the two which fit my needs the most I think. I'm not a fan of any Treo or Blackberry style device so anything with tiny keys is out but if anyone has any other suggestions they're welcome. Oh, and I'm looking to get one as soon as I can, Friday being the earliest. This is my only phone and since I don't have a functioning one another is needed quickly.
