Help me Choose

so im torn between what to buy.
my choice is either a Canon Speedlite 540EZ Flash for 175$ OBO
or a BG E3 grip for 120 OBO

i have a Rebel XTi 3 lenses and 2 batteries so i have batteries for the grip.
which should i choose.
is it a good deal? or does anyone know where i could find either for a cheaper price. Amazon is out of the question unless someone wants the buy it from there and ship it to me in canada

If you shoot people, especially outside then fill flash will do more for your photos than almost anything else if you learn to use it properly. You may want to examine cheaper flash units though. strobist.blogspot.com is a good starting point for current flash popularity.

Don't EZ flash(is there a plural? Flashes?) run on a higher voltage, making it inadvisable to use on a modern day digital?
