help me decide between parallels and bootcamp, xp vs vista

so i need windows for class. i take my macbook to class everyday.

so i need to decide between Vista and XP, and between bootcamp and parallels.

i'd rather use parallels, so i don't have to reboot all the time.

how is battery life with running a VM?

do you think i'd have better battery life with xp?

1. If you going to work with Windows apps then get Parallels Desktop!
If you want to run PC-games on your Mac then choose Boot Camp.
And there is a 3rd way, that I go with.. I have Parallels + Boot Camp on my Mac. I work running Parallels and play games thru Boot Camp.

2. Vista or XP? Definitely XP! Less resource intensive, more stable and reliable...

3. VM requires more resources than common machine work.. So your battery will die more faster I suppose...

i won't be playing any games, so i guess i won't use bootcamp.

yeah, i guess i'll just stick with XP.
