im debating between getting one of these:
14 inch - M3 Max, 36GB Memory - 14-core CPU, 30-core GPU - 1TB - Silver
vs
14 inch- M4 Pro, 48GB Memory - 14‑core CPU, 20‑core GPU -1TB -space black

Trading in my M1 pro 16gb
comes out $1,709.00 Total
Or
M3 Max:
Trading in my M1 pro 16gb
comes out Total:$1,491.59
My usage currently is SQL databases, VSCode, Parallel desktop for Visual studio 2022 plus other windows .exe tools, and Local LLM.
As you see due to my usage my current 16gb is struggling a bit 😆.
FYI, i use my laptop with two external monitors.
