Ok, so I know very very little about cameras and that's why I need your help! Some relatives are going overseas so I figured I might as well buy a camera duty free seeing as I don't have one. It's just going to be a point and shoot for general use, so no special requirements. I've created a poll so you can vote if you like. :)

I've been looking at these two...

Canon IXUS 950IS
* 8.0 Megapixel.
* Canon 4x optical zoom lens with Optical Image Stabilizer.
* 2.5 inch PureColour LCD screen.
* DIG!C III Imaging Processor with ISO 1600.
* Face Detect with Auto Focus, Auto Exposure, Flash Exposure and in
camera red-eye correction

or

Sony Cybershot T-Series

* High Quality Pictures – 8.1 Megapixels, 3 x Optical Zoom
* Carl Zeiss Vario Tessar Lens
* BIONZ Image Processor
* Sony Face Detection
* Home Menu & Function Guide
* Super SteadyShot Optical Image Stabilisation & High Sensitivity ISO 3200
(with Clear RAW NR Image Processing)
* FULL HD 1080i Output

But if anyone has any other recommendations, they're most welcome.

Thanks.

I don't have experience using Sony camera, so I would say go with Canon. I agree that you should consider Fuji FinePix especially the F series.
