Hi,
I was swapping my SSD from my lenovo to my macbook and I forgot to format the hard disk when disk utility gave me the option. Now midway installing OSX X from a flash drive it says an error occured and restarts.

Can some one help me on how I can fix this.

The OS X tries to install says file system verify or repair failed and says to restart to try again.

Restart your Mac and hold down the option key, it will bring you options on which drive to boot. Boot it on the "recovery drive". Now you will have an access to the Utility App, from there you could format the drive before installing the OS. I would suggest Zero pass the drive one time.

When the I installer come up at the top of screen you will see "Utilities". Select it and Disk Utility. From there you can format the SSD. When you exit Disk Utility you can continue on with installing OS X.
