as in how? I have an older white iMac with the 7600GT 256mb setup.

If I went to the 9400M integrated version would I see a performance improvement or would it take the gt or hd to see a noticeable improvement?

I've been looking at benchmarks and the 9400M is only a little better than the 2400 and comparable to the Radeon 2600 at decent resolutions.

The 7600GT was a pretty decent gaming card a few years ago and will still play many games with good frame rates but as caveman said it lacks the latest features for snow leopard and HD content.

I'm not impressed with the new range at all unless you have the money to skip the 9400M and get the GT120/130 even then your paying alot and its not a 260.

Nvidia 8600M GT vs. 9400M

Great, a comparison thread because I'm in the same boat as OP, except I'm using an 8600M GT on current MBP.

Will I too see performance boosts in games with the new imac 20"?

Your 8600 is about 40 - 50% better than the 9400...

Thanks for the info. I really appreciate it.

Beautiful Apple, beautiful. I am now forced to buy the high end 24" model (I only wanted a 20") just for better graphics.
