I am waiting for Black Friday sales to upgrade from a 64GB Air 2 to the 10.5 inch Pro.

I decided against the iPhone 10 because I can’t have both...but Animoji..oh my God, spent the day on twitter watching singing animals & am feeling the pull to get the new iPhone .

Please help me, lol my 6S Plus works just fine, new iPad, no new phone ..first world problem for sure :)

I believe you are correct, besides I just had a new tempered glass protector installed on the phone. Maybe I will just buy a new case for it ..and try to avoid Animoji singing karaoke:)

I want all the things, lol, terrible character flaw :)
 
10.5 up vote... but what phone do you have now? If it’s below a 7+ you may need to spend some time at bestbuy. Like the bear says “only you can prevent buyers remorse” or.some something like that. I’m loving my 10.5 as a replacement for my Air. It’s just big and small enough. Not to skinny and no to long but slightly heavier.

I imagine the X would give you the same story and WOW factor. Bottom line to my rambling what do you use more? Where will you get the biggest bang and WOW. Which can you wait for.

I currently have a 64GB iPhone 6S Plus. I use the phone but the iPad is by far my most used device, I get home from work, the phone goes on the charger and out comes iPad.

Agreed, my husband pointed out that my attention span is short, I like the Plus form factor & just plunked down good money for a glass screen protector. I will buy my iPhone a new case & wait for a deal on the iPad Pro

Target just released its Black Friday ad and it shows $529 on the base model iPad Pro 10.5. I don’t know how the tax is where you live, but it might bump it to about $570. Ask if you need any links!

I'll go against the tide and recommend the iPhone X. Unless you plan on using the Apple Pencil, your Air 2 will be able to do 95% of what the 10.5 Pro can do... but Animojis can only be done on the iPhone X. Emojis and Animojis are not my thing at all, but if animojis are tugging at you, then go for it.

I like having the opportunity to explore new things. There are more new things to explore on the iPhone X (compared to the iPhone 6S Plus) than going from an Air 2 to a 10.5 Pro.

OP, I think you answered your own question that the iPad is your most used device.

If you use your Air 2 a lot then waiting for sales for the 10.5 is a sound idea. If you're good with the on screen iPad keyboards skip the Apple Smart Keyboard. That was a waste of almost $200 (12.9" version) for me (it wound up being a stand for my iPP when I draw and now I don't even use it.)

Animojis: I am smitten by the Karaoke too but will not buy the X for a multitude of reasons (price increase for phone & AC+ and I rarely use the cameras on my 7 month 7+ to say nothing of other bells and whistles.)

Getting a new case for your 6s+ sounds like a fine idea (I bought an Apple Sunflower leather case and it made me feel like I had a new phone.)

You can be strong. After all, Black Friday is less than 3 weeks away and I am sure Best Buy and other retailers will start their sales earlier that week. Whatever you get, enjoy it.

I’m good with the virtual keyboard so won’t be wasting money buying an iPad keyboard. I might ask the family for an Apple Pencil though just to play around with :)
