After searching the Goog and MRf for a solution, I appeal to the masses.
Searching 'freeze' or 'hold' just gets me results about bugs...

I'm helping my wife put together a slideshow in iPhoto for a relative's funeral and she wants the final image of a slideshow to hold / freeze while the sermon commences.

Any ideas?

thanks,
nf

Nah man, nothing in iPhoto any how; don't even recall what I did. You could try this: export your slide show to the pic BEFORE the final pic you want to hold on, then import in iMovie / FCP / whatever and cross fade into the final image as a freeze frame.

good luck, let us know what works for ya-

I found if you increase the length of time the photo shows so it is longer than the audio beneath it, the photo will be the final frame. If the photo is shorter than the audio, the screen goes black while the final bit of audio plays.
