Hello,

Hope I am placing this in the correct area. I have an original 8GB iphone. I recently upgraded to OS 3.0. When I did my trouble started. At the moment I can't get my phone open. You know, slide your finger across the screen, well that does nothing. So the phone will ring, but I can't answer it. I have reset it twice and it will let me open it once, after a FULL restore, but then back to the same issue. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks

Jared

Does the iPhone only not unlock when you are trying to answer phone calls?

If you've just upgraded, if you have had jailbroken ringtones for certain people, you may need to reset the ringtones.

My phone used to lock up like that when I upgraded, so I just redownloaded the winterboard ringtones and all was good.

Nope, won't unlock at all. All I can do when it rings is to push the power button to send the caller to voice mail and stop the phone from ringing. I am a really sad Iphone user, I have never downloaded any new ring tones. I use the stock ringers. Never placed any music on the phone. I have placed about 4 movies on it. I do have a few game applications.

I upgraded about a month ago, and it went bad. My phone bricked in the process and had to be restored and then upgraded and then resynced. So I lost content from the phone at that time. No biggie, I use it as a phone, internet device, and occational movie. Missing the movies were no big deal. Lost all my applications, so I simply redownloaded (only use free apps).

How do I reset ring tones?

Willing to try anything at this point.

Jared
