I installed Windows 7 RC and everything worked fine. I could boot into both. While on 7, I installed and ran Roller coaster tycoon and it froze while in the game. It was also scanning I think with Windows Defender. I couldn't do anything, I did ctrl alt delete, alt f4, nothing worked. Took out the disc. Held power button, and turned it off. Booted it up and it went into Mac cause I didn't hold option, and then it froze on the grey apple screen after the thing span around a couple times. Won't go any further. Tried booting into Windows, same thing. Loads to the "starting windows" page and freezes. WHATS WRONG CAN I FIX IT HELP!!! :( :( :(

Uhm, it works now? Maybe a heat issue? Is there something wrong?

Dying HD, maybe/possibly.

Tried booting off the restore DVD to see if it needs repair and is simply a software error with the system catalog/file system.

Got a Time Machine backup of your OS X partition and a Winclone clone of your Windows partition?

No?

You may have to use something like Disk Warrior

Uhm... it boot into mac this time.. waited like 15 min. Heat issue?

could still be the drive, they tend to be bears to get to a stable boot, and also completely freeze the machine when they have their issues.

A software problem might freeze the machine, but the clock still works as does the force quit screen ... sometimes when the HDs are going the computer goes into full lockup, where the clock stops, nothing on the keyboard works and the only sign of life might possibly be the cursor still moves.

For peace of mind, back up....
