hi guys so i have my macbook pro since 2014, and my magsafe is often twisted hence it causes the wire exposed / slit. sometimes when i try to use it again, it works but sometimes it doesnt. and when i attach it to the magnetic part of my mac, the led turns dim green but when i plug it in, the led goes off. can you please help me?

There's two options: Repair, or Replace.
If you are comfortable with repairing the wiring, here's an iFixit guide that will take you through fixing the wire.

That's how you get your power adapter to work reliably again.
Or, replace your adapter with new.

I'd just grab one off eBay or bite the bullet and get a new one. They're pricy but 4 years is a pretty good run.
