I believe it was a mac game from the early/mid '90s. It was a Myst style game perhaps. A point and click adventure/puzzle game. I think it was first person. Anyway, the scene I most clearly remember occurred as follows:
The player speaks with a middle aged/elderly man who talks of "the road to the south". I remember that if the player traveled south then death would occur. That's all I have. Please help if you can.
