Options for Ripping and Shrinking

I just switched over from using windows OS all my life, So far i like Mac OSX a lot more. I was wondering what program i can use to shrink and back up my dvds with? before on windows i would use dvd decrypter, dvd shrink, and clone dvd, but these software are not compatible with mac OS.

I have had great success using MACtheRipper to copy DVD's and make backups or copy versions for my 1 year old to wreck (how come the first thing he learned to press a button on was the eject on the DVD player remote, followed swiftly by a race to the disc??)

You can find it on versiontracker.

If you are trying to shrink em down to MP4 or create an iTunes Video Library the try HANDBRAKE

Both Apps work a treat for me ;-)

I cant say its the fastest ripper on the market but I just set it off each night with the next one and am about half way through our collection of 1000 DVD's now...

Good Luck
