I have no sound out of my iphone 2G.
can receive calls (just buzzer) and talk with people, but no sound out of the loudspeaker. not music, no ringtone, no button sound.

tried everyting already:

- my headphone in and out for 50 times
- clean with q-tip (just without liquids to avoid warranty issues)
- total resets in the menue
- checked, that the MUTE button is not set on the left side
- total new firmware. even in "emergency mode" I couldn't hear a click, when pressing the numbers
- if I plug in my headphones, I can listen to everything through those.
- need HELP, because I don't want to have this for a brick and just buzzer doesn't really work for regular use.

any idea?
don't find my invoice anymore, so I'm not confident, apple will help me, if it's a hardware issue.

HELP!

If you are with in the first year, they will know and replace it for you without any hassles. Beyond that it just sounds like the sound/vibrate switch got toggled down, then you can't toggle it back up.

thank you for the quick reply.

so, they will find my invoice, if I tell them, when and where I bought it?
I have the receipt of my credit card of april, when I bought it at a store in FL.
this sounds great.

do I need to virginze my phone, so I am not in trouble at the store?

This is Apple, not Wal-Mart - you don't need that stuff. Just bring the phone in. You should restore the phone if its jailbreaked as they will not touch it if it is.
