I just got an iPhone 3G and I synced it up with Mac Mail. There's just one problem: whenever I read a letter in Mac Mail and even delete it, it still shows up in my iPhone as new. Here's an example of what I'm saying:

- I get an e-mail, read it on Mac Mail, delete it.
- Later I hit "update" on my iPhone's Mail app. and it will show the message I deleted on Mac Mail and mark it as new.

Is there anyway the iPhone can update with Mac Mail?

Thanks!

It's POP. If I set it to delete off the serve will that delete it out of my GMail account online? Also, how do I change that setting?
