Hi everyone!! I'm new here and I would help from you.

I have one iMac G3 333Mhz since 1998. It never had problem but during 1 or 2 years I won't had turned on. Now, I tried to turn on... The iMac has turned on but the USB ports don't work and I want to install a new OS X.
I can't start with "C" key or with CD-ROM. :mad:

Maybe the USB ports had been oxided. Now... how can I fix it to work again?

I was thinking to change the original logic board per one iMac 600 firewire board. It's possible?

Thanks for your help.

I'm sorry about my English, but I try to improve. :)

PowerPC Macs can't boot from USB, only firewire. As your iMac doesn't have firewire, it can only boot from HDD or CD-ROM. You need a CD-ROM version of OSX.

Did you even read his post? He can't boot from the cd-rom because he can't get the keyboard to work cuz it's usb :rolleyes:

That doesn't change the fact that AlphaDogg's post is accurate. Because the OP can't boot that way doesn't change the facts.

Hmm, maybe I didn't understand him correctly...

@OP:

Did you try an external cd-drive/dvd-drive, if not you could try pluging an external HDD or USB-Stick and see if it lights up. If it does, then your keyboard is toast, if not, then your usb-port are. As for the Logic Board replacement, I think asking in the PPC Section would be a good idea.

Hey man thank you so much.

I didn't see the PPC Section. Now I will go to post there.
