You are not suppose to update it if it's jailbroken. Put the device into DFU mode and click restore. It'll restore it to iOS 6.1.3 and your jailbreak will be gone and there will be no way to get it jailbroken again (currently anyways)
Just before you try restoring and you believe the phone is still in recovery, try this.
1. Hold down the power and home button and keep it holding (both) till you see apple logo.
2. Once you see apple logo leave the power button but do not leave the Home. This might take some time. Be patient.
3. Your phone might probably start in normal mode. Ensure that you keep holding the Home button till the time it restarts.
If this does not work, download something like tiny umbrella or some other tool which can kick the phone out of recovery. I remember downloading some dedicated tool which only kicked iPhone out of recovery, it was very small in size and i am not sure what it's name was.

Sounds like you might of tried to install an iOS6 No BB IPSW or unsigned iOS6 IPSW into your iPhone 4S. Neither is possible.
TinyUmbrella or Redsn0w can kick older iDevices out of recovery, but likely not your 4S if you tried to do one of the above.
If so, you will need to restore to 6.1.3 to get the phone working again (no jailbreak)

My advise is to just put your phone into DFU mode and restore to 6.1.3 and stay away from JB. It's obvious you didn't read enough before JBing. Next time you will come back saying you pressed 'erase all setting' on your phone and come back crying for help.
