I bought a used Imac G5 from Ebay that came with Leopard and Office 08 was the only software, no ILife. It's running great except for that annoying keychain password pop-up every 20 seconds, which I could probably live with. I emailed the previous owner for the password, he sent it to me, and it keeps coming up as invalid. I just tried to install ILife 08 that I purchased at the Apple store and it won't let me without a password. I am not a computer genius by any stretch. I am at a loss what to do. Is there any way to reset the password? The computer did not come with any disks, so I can't start over that way. I have no software on the computer and can't install any! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Go out and buy a copy of Leopard and wipe the system. That is the only way you'll get rid of it, unless you create a new user with Administrator abilities, then delete the old Admin user.

Thanks! Bummer - I was hoping there was some other way, since I just bought $200 of software today (can't download it, of course!!) Oh, well....

Thanks for your quick reply~ :apple:
