Hi,

I have an iMac (Core 2 Duo 3.06 21.5-Inch) and I have been experiencing problems with its performance very recently. It had been running fine until about 2 days ago when all of the sudden it would not run Photoshop CS5 correctly (it would crash after trying to print something) and now it is running slowly overall. Also, it takes forever to shut down to the point that I have to hold down the button to turn it off. It is also taking a bit longer to start up and run other programs as well, but the applications that I am having the most trouble with are Photoshop and other Adobe CS5 applications. I have uninstalled Photoshop but my iMac is still acting up. I don't know if I should uninstall the whole suite.

I installed DropBox when the problems began, so I think it may have to do with it. I used it on my Macbook to transfer a Photoshop file to my iMac, and ever since then I have been having problems with Photoshop on both computers.

Any help is greatly appreciated! Please let me know if you need any more info.
