Help please - ATI 2600XT Mac EFI64 BIOS

Hi,

I've a problem with the original ATI 2600XT mac version (in macpro 4.1), my friend have flash it with windows firmware and now my mac don't recognize it.

I tried to flash it with many firmware found in internet but not works (always black screen).

Please tell me how I can find right bios (with efi64) and how I fix it for use again in my macpro.

thank you but all bios (or apple update) don't have efi inside, so don't work with card flashed with pc firmware

All mac efi roms contain pc bios !!!! Don't need a reflash to work in windows !!!!

Thank your friend for wasting a bunch of your time.

The very first Mac EFI card from ATI did not include PC BIOS, the X1900XT. Since then, EVERY SINGLE MAC EFI CARD HAS CONTAINED A FULL AND COMPLETE PC BIOS.

This is why the cards work in bootcamp.

This is why the roms are frequently too big for the PC card EEPROM chips.

This is why these cards justify higher cost, they work in multiple machines / multiple OS's OOTB.

WITH EXCEPTION OF X1900XT ALL APPLE EFI CARDS WORK IN PC'S WITHPOUT ANY MODS OR FLASHING NEEDED

Once you get this through your friend's head, you might also want to point out the absolute GOLDEN MAXIM of card flashing.

ALWAYS BACKUP YOUR ORIGINAL ROM BEFORE EXPERIMENTING WITH OTHER ROMS. !!!!!
